About EGB's Equine Influenza Policy ►
Due to the on-going equine flu outbreak in the country LREGB have had to introduce a restriction on which horses can attend our rides.
Please download the document alongside for full details.
Unfortunately we can only accept entries for horses that have completed a course of vaccinations.
This means that they must have received two primary vaccinations which are given not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days
apart. There must then be 7 clear days after the second vaccination before you can attend a ride.
If sufficient time has elapsed the horse must then have received a booster vaccination not less than 150 days but within 7 months
after the second primary vaccination, and within 12 months thereafter.
These are the normal rules for a course of vaccinations.
Can all riders who enter a ride email a photo or photocopy of the vaccination record to the ride organiser (Sheila
Creasey in the case of our Group Social Rides) and it is essential that you take the passport with you to the ride as it will be checked
before you are allowed to unload your horses.
We recognise this may cause inconvenience but the welfare of all our horses is paramount.
